CHESS this Sunday, October 22nd at Starbucks!

Hi Everyone!

This Sunday, October 22, 2023, expect quite a few players to enjoy chess over the boards at our usual Starbucks venue! Along with the possibility of a couple of masters and several regular players, there will be players new to the club as well as some we haven't seen in a while, along with a few kids ready and game to play!

Come and go anytime from 3:00 p.m. to closing time, there are no dues, there's no purchase requirement (but it would be nice), and all ages and skill levels are welcome! This Sunday there will also be a fairly easy chess puzzle to solve, and the first one to solve it on the first try wins a free tall Starbucks drink of choice!

We also meet Wednesday afternoons as well as Sunday afternoons, same time, same place. Last Wednesday saw a half dozen players enjoy a late afternoon of chess: Tony, Ben C., FBen, Red, Mike S., and Mike T. Expect news of a club tournament to be scheduled for a Sunday in mid-November!
