CHESS & Games this Wednesday at Starbucks!

Hi Everyone . . . !

This Wednesday, November 27, 2018, there's more chess over the boards, along with other games of interest (e.g., Scattergories, Balderdash, etc.) at Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd., Clayton, Calif., from 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm.  Though we start an hour earlier, come by anytime!

We had a dozen chess players last week despite some chilly and damp weather, and a few of them, including Chris Th., Greg, Max, Mike T., and Ann, played both Chess and Scattergories!

CHESS Wednesday Nov. 21st at Starbucks!

Hi Everyone . . . !

There's real fun, challenging chess over the boards this Wednesday, November 21, 2018, from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm at Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd., Clayton, Calif.  Come by anytime, the earlier the better for the better tables, more matches, and some really nice company!  No dues, no purchase required (but it would be nice).

Would you want to play USCF-rated chess matches?  We may have just what you want on Saturday, December 15, at a venue nearby (probably Carl's Jr. across from the above Starbucks)!  Let me know ahead of time if you're game for it that day.  Figure a 4 or 3-round swiss or quads; G/45;d5 . . . EF only $15 ahead of time, $20 on game day, and 80% returned in cash prizes!

CHESS this Sunday, Nov. 18 at Panera Bread!

Hi Everyone . . . !

 There's chess over the boards once again at the Panera Bread Restaurant this Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.  The restaurant is located at the corner of Bancroft Rd. and Treat Blvd. in Walnut Creek.  Come by anytime, the earlier the better! 

We may have USCF-rated tournaments again, in early or mid-December, stay tuned!

CHESS & BALDERDASH at Starbucks Mon. Nov 12th & Weds. Nov. 14th!

Hi Everyone . . . !

This Monday, November 12th starting at 3pm on into the evening hours, fun and challenging games or Chess and Balderdash will be played at Starbucks, located at 1536 Kirker Pass Rd. in Clayton, Calif. 

So if you're up for either one or both of these games, come on by and enjoy the scene!

Chess as usual on Wednesday, Nov. 14th, from 5:30pm - 9:00pm, same place!  We had at least 16 players of all skill levels last week, from masters to novices!
